Beijing will host the ice sports, and Chongli County, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, will host the snow sports. The Chinese Olympic Committee formally sent a letter to the International Olympic Committee on November 3, 2013, nominating Beijing as the bid city for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
